WHO ARE WE
WE ARE MARITIME
PODCAST
Based on the UN Goal 14: Life Below Water.

We are eighth-graders from AIS in Hong Kong (Christina, Jessica and Ken) who are working to improve the lives of our marine animals and species.
PROBLEM
Marine animals face issues such as ship strikes, acoustic pollution, open net fishing, oil spills, agricultural runoff, commercial hunting, climate change, entertainment, and captivity. Many marine species are currently going extinct at an unprecedented pace, and many more will follow if we do nothing to stop it.
PROPOSED SOLUTION
Our solution is to create a public-accessible podcast series that could be both entertaining and educational. We also plan to create a website that will host our podcasts and showcase our projects. We also plan to promote our project by building an Instagram account that will have posts up every 2-3 days about news on our oceans and putting posters up at school.
EXPECTED POSITIVE RESULTS
We hope that our podcast will reach an audience and encourage them to take action such as volunteering, assisting other organizations, and participating in initiatives that will help save lives under the sea.
